Research Profile

Dr. Leone Spiccia is a Reader and Deputy Head of the School of Chemistry at Monash University. His research interests include the development of models for redox metalloenzymes and phosphatase enzymes; therapeutic and sensor applications of metal complex-bioconjugate hybrids; catalysts for the cleavage of RNA and DNA; biomolecule purification methods based on immobilized metal complexes; devices and functional surfaces based on nanostructured materials. He holds one major patent and has >120 refereed publications (>90 in the last 10 years) which have been cited over 1400 times.
